Swimming Pool

The weather has been very hot lately, so I take mommy and papa to the swimming pool to cool off. Here I am showing papa how to do the doggy paddle. He's not very good at it yet, but with some practice he'll surely improve.

I borrowed some yellow arm floaties from another little girl, and had a lot of fun splashing around. Here's mama and me relaxing on the steps of the pool. Mama and papa keep pointing to mama's tummy and saying there's going to be a big surprise for me in June. I wonder what it is?

After the swim I was a bit cold, which made me morose (on the bright side, check out my pirate's hat! Pirates -arrrrrhhh!)

We went back home and mama gave me a hot bath. After that she massaged me with oil and then wrapped me up like a pink burrito. Aaaaahhhh!!

Tulip Festival

On a sunny day in May I took mommy and papa to the Ottawa Tulip Festival. Lots of pretty flowers! I gave this one a kissy cuz I like pink!

Posing with mommy in front of the colourful tulips.

Then I climbed a tree, raced with papa around the lawns, and kicked a soccer ball. Wheee!

Mama wouldn't run around with me. She seems to have put on weight lately. I think she needs to lay off the fudge.

Papa Birthday

Papa had an important birthday a while back! I can't say how old he is because he's shy about his age.
I requested mommy to get him a super dooper chocolate ice cream cake, a rock n' roll bday card, and lots and lots of candles!

Earlier in the week I also arranged dinner at a restaurant with a lot of my friends - that was a surprise for daddy!

Phewf, all that party planning left me tired! Now, what should I do for mommy's birthday? Papa claims there will be a big surprise for me on that day. I wonder what it could be?

My Garden

Manyu, Manyu, quite the sweetie, how does your garden grow?

This is what my mama was singing as she helped me water my garden. I told her which plants were thirstiest, and she filled up my pink elephant watering can (ane!)

I have pansies, snapdragons, alyssum and, in the hanging basket, lobelia, fuschia and more alyssum.

I had to teach all these names to mummy. She only knows the name of the non-white flowers!

Once my work was done I gazed out upon the buses and sailboats passing by.
