Bangalore Friends

August, 2009 - We met with Lucknow friends in Bangalore.

And their sweet kids who played with me and taught me fun stuff

We met at Shome uncle's house and then went to a restaurant/bar for dinner.

It was fun catching up with stuff that happened 25 years before I was born

Family in Bangalore

August 2009 - I had a good time meeting family members in Bangalore.

Unfortunately I did not get along too well with women folk since all they wanted was to kiss me, and not take me out to play. I did become mildly friendly with Ajji and Oni...

I behaved myself and ate new food items

My best friend was thatha who took me out on walks, gave me key, and in general read my mind and complied with it

I also spent quality time with Chechi and Lalitha

India - Abhi Swetha Reception

August 9, 2009 - For the first time I learnt how to do Namaskaara to god, after encouragement from Ajji.

I am fast asleep as we wait to congratulate the bride and groom who are hosting 1600 well wishers

I am oblivious to mama and Oni bedecked in colorful saris

Back home I cuddle up to Ajji as she watches kannada serials.

India - Abhi Uncle's Wedding

August, 2009 - Abhi uncle got married in Bangalore and I took 2 planes to get there in time. On the plane I stayed up and kept running up the aisle, including barging into first class.

I could watch watch busses and cars from our room in the Chattra

And I spent a lot of time pouring water on the ground

Everyone looked fabulous, especially Swetha aunty our newest family member

Mama looked great in pink sari

And the chattra itself was huge and beautiful

I played all the time

Avoided the women folk, including Seema aunty, oni, and lalitha

But I made friends with all the men folk, including my special friend Rishab

And finally I was enraptured by the music and got drum lessons

Afternoon at the Boat Club

June, 2009 - We went for an afternoon jaunt to the nearby Boat Club.
I was looking cool in the shades.

until I tired her out.

I can say my name

June 10, 2009 - Ottawa. Today I was able to say "Manyu" and "Avi". People got tipped off when I said "Backhoe" today morning, as I was being taken next to a construction site. So today evening when mommy and daddy asked me to say "Manyu" I gladly complied. I also say "Abi".

I am naked but you cant see anything...

I hold the dinner table above my head to indicate - I am hungry

Mommy foists a dubious looking fruit to me.

I critique it in no uncertain terms.

Summer Evening

June 5, Ottawa - It is a bright Friday evening and we are planning to go to the pool.
The sun sets on the Ottawa river.

I sit with daddy in my swiming trunks looking at Grandpa's photo

I am off to an important meeting, but somehow cannot walk properly.

So I decide to go via Steam engine.
