First Birthday

October 30, 2008 - Today is my first birthday, and I have met all the goals that I set for myself when I first emerged into this world...
With knowledge and style comes strong opinion... and nobody tells me what to do. For example daddy looks funny with the red cap, unlike my staid pink scarf and bear suit.

I have managed to eat copiously and achieved 400% weight improvement. Compare that to mommy who actually went negative... shame on her.

When I arrived I had nothing, and badly needed a bath. Now, as planned, I have amassed a wealth of clothes, and more toys than mommy and daddy combined, sent to me from a whole bunch of people both in Ottawa and around the world.

And my final and most important goal... I have received more kissies and made more people happy than I ever knew existed when I first came 1 year ago.

Play Schedule

Twice a week I get taken to a play pen with several other kids. I mix and mingle with other kids, and set about with single minded determination to move things around under the watchful eyes of mommy.

My Sartorial Style

My sartorial style is influenced by my open mindedness to wear anything that people give me, and more importantly something that takes less than 5 seconds to put on, before I lose my patience...

This amazingly comfortable shirt and balloon butt shorts given by Sita Aunty is one of my favourites...

Visitor from Bangalore

October 12, 2008 - Yesterday we had a visitor from Bangalore. He brought a lot of goodies sent by Sita, Lalitha, and Oni, which I wore immediately and fit me very well. Today we went to Gatineau Park and were in time for fall...

We have ice-cream again at La Cigale, and again I did not get my own. But for the first time I met a furry 4-legged toy moving on its own... a little dog.

Manyu and the Butterfly

October 10, Carleton Univ - Mommy took me to the butterfly exhibition today. Watching as the butterflies fluttered around the green house, I learnt a lot. Here I act out the different stages for you...

After munching a lot of food as a caterpillar, the butterfly is fast asleep in the cocoon.

Then he gets up and tells the mommy, "Dont look now, but there is a giant blue butterfly right behind you... so let us go thata way."

One out of the coccoon and in the open, little butterfly is very happy and smiles a lot.

Soon he is running around looking for flowers to sit on.

Meeting Little Diego

October 8, 2008 - Little Diego stepped out of his apartment about 1 month ago. Mommy and I went to meet him.

It seems a lifetime ago, but when I had moved out of my first apartment I had worn sleepers like this one.

House Warming at Carling

October 5, 2008 (Carling) - We had a house warming party today.
