Manyu's Perspective

Dec 27 - I wake up around 9 am and get handed over to Oni who will already be downstairs in the hall nursing her first cup of tea. I play in my colorful new gym that was given to me by aunt Seema for christmas. The hanging animals and the music box keep me entranced for several minutes. I watch them intently as I shake my hands and peddle with my legs. Then I select from a choice of activities: sleep, poop, or demand milk.
I also have to endue hicups about twice a day, and these days bloating and throwing up of curdled milk at night, but only for 7-10 days. I get rocked to sleep, and manage to get swaddled in the rapidly shrinking swaddle cloths at around 11. I mostly lie around and look at people wandering around, and listen to the strange sounds that come from all directions, emanating from every object, including two that happen to be located right on my very body.
In other world news, Benazir Bhutto was killed today. Presidential primaries are going on in the US and all candidates, including Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Mitt Romney, and my look-alike - cute, cute John McCain (look at his cheeks!) - expressed shock, and convinced americans that they know foreign policy.

Here I am wearing "I love mommy" T-shirt given by Seema aunty, and generally looking around and dancing.
In perspective - Vote for John McCain, because he looks like me! But if you want world peace, and dont want to ruin my future, then.... Ron Paul?

Merry Christmas!

Dec 25 - My very first christmas, and aunty Seema was visiting! So I arranged for mommy to decorate the christmas tree. I had placed a request for 3 items - milkey, some clothes and a beard. Gifts arrived from as far away as Los Angeles - aunt Govindini, and uncle Jason!

Its the beard!

Ottawa Dec. 22 - There comes a point in a little baby's life that something so astonishingly cool comes along, that he throws propriety out the window and anabashedly stares at the object of his desire. In my case that point was on Dec. 21 at my very first sighting of a beard - uncle Steven's beard. Here I was bald as a shaolin monk, and I see this plethora of hair not just on uncle's head, but on his cheekies!

What is that??

Is that hair on his cheekies?

It is sooo impressive! 10 more minutes of staring and I will be done...

Hey! Where is the beard gone! I want it back... nooooooo!

Family Get-together

Dec 21 - Its Dosa time... and this time we invited At. Sarah & Ul. Steven, and Gm. Roma for dinner.
Here is everybody relaxing after dinner. I was mostly lying around, greeting family memebers, and wondering how aunty Seema's 7-hr drive from NJ was going.

The ladies are cool, but at this point let me confess my unabashed fascination of uncle Steven

Me huddling in my bright blue sling... it is nice and warm and puts me to sleep

... and waking up just in time to say hello to gramdma Roma.
